When you’re polishing a car, you’re not always going to be doing a multiple stage paint correction followed by ceramic coating application. Sometimes you need results faster — and that’s where AIOs come into play. “AIO” stands for “All-In-One”, and it refers to products that can polish and protect paint in a single step.
In our most recent live online detailing class, Mike Phillips demonstrates how to use AIO polishes with a swirled out 1982 AMC Eagle and Dr. Beasley’s AIO primer, NSP Z1. Mike gets into the circumstances under which an AIO polish is ideal and, for professional detailers, how to position it within their hierarchy of detailing services. Mike also explains what pads are best to use, how much pressure to apply to your buffing machine and what your expectations should be in terms of defect removal.
